Dippin’ Dots are colorful, tiny ice cream beads made by extremely cold freezing procedures. The
design emphasizes the fun and unique shape of the ice cream, while adding a more futuristic look
with a colorful spin.

One year. 365 days. 8760 hours.

That’s roughly the time I had to learn as much as I could about design and come up with a portfolio I would be proud. In other words, I had about one year to start a new career path.

But compared to starting my life from scratch 7 years ago, when I moved to the U.S., this actually wasn’t as bad. Doing something you truly enjoy can make all the difference.

One of my favorite things in life is playing soccer. It’s something I inherited from being born and raised in Brazil. I also have a natural attraction for 3-dimensionality, and I think that’s why I’m fascinated with packaging design. In my free time I like to watch sitcoms or anything else that makes me laugh, from Parks and Recreation to Colbert Report to Family Guy.
