MILK is a seasonal magazine showcasing the world’s very best of graphic design solutions across a range of projects. From books to brochures invitations to annual reports, logos to business cards. This magazine sources inspirational examples of extraordinary graphic design that will get any designer’s creative juices flowing. MILK invites designers to literally shop for ideas, while building a wide collection of the world’s top designs.

This was a publication project in which we had to create a taster for a magazine. We were required to show different sections to give an idea of how the whole magazine would flow as a whole. We were not provided with content, this was left up to us to source information that our magazine would hold.

A key feature of my design is the cover with the unique chopped out name from the slip. This slides over a simple photograph that changes each issue, making it a visually effective collectable magazine. The layout of the sections were based on a very clean, simplistic grid system using nice negative space and lines for an enjoyable read.

Hi, my name is Raewyn Brandon and I am an enthusiastic graphic and web designer residing in Hamilton, New Zealand. My passion for design ranges from very contemporary, modern designs through to the more alternative, vintage style. The saying ‘less is more’ is a key influence in my design as I have a very simplistic, minimal style.

I am passionately creative, quality driven and motivated to create the best design solution. Combined with an indepth approach to research and analysis, I am able to focus on the target audience and engage the design in a way that meets the brief. Hardwork and determination are key qualities that makes my designs successful and I believe my eye for detail and high standards ensures a thorough design process and solution. I enjoy life and am passionate about providing excellence in everything I do. While graphic design was my major, I have also established some technical knowledge in website development.
